Committed to our roots

Strong growth needs strong roots. In the case of MVV Energie, our roots are to be found in Mannheim and the Rhine/Neckar metropolitan region. This region has provided a foundation for our growth, both organically via new business fields and externally via shareholdings in municipal utility companies across the whole of Germany.

We are committed to our home region in the Kurpfalz. This place obligations on us in numerous ways – to provide material support to social, cultural, sporting and charitable activities, to protect our environment and to promote the region as an innovative, cosmopolitan and important part of Europe. “Mir sin’ vun hier”, as we say in Mannheim - we’re from round here. That’s not just an expression of being down-to-earth, but also an acknowledgement of our own roots – in our case in the appealing stretch of countryside between the forests of Odenwald and Pfälzer Wald.
