At this company, MVV Energie AG pools its core competencies in the field of decentralised energy generation from renewable fuels, especially non-recyclable waste and biomass. This also represents a further consistent step in the strategic realignment of the Group.

MVV Umwelt GmbH currently operates non-recyclable waste incineration plants and biomass power plants with a capacity of 1.6 million tonnes at five locations in Germany - and thus occupies third position in Germany in this respect. The environmental energy company disposes of non-recyclable waste from 20 district councils with around 3.7 million inhabitants. This market segment will continue to be consistently expanded in future.

Moreover, the company is also planning the construction of material sorting and separation facilities for industrial and commercial waste in order to link its energy generation facilities with intelligent, advanced materials flow management facilities.
